Here's an update on Shark Suit: the Musical.
Shark Suit will be playing at the Big Apple Film Festival here in New York on Nov 17th. If you haven't seen it yet, here's a great chance to see Shark Suit on the big screen. It's in a block of cool films at 12:00pm on Saturday, Nov 17th at Tribeca Cinemas. The webiste is www.bigapplefilmfestival.com. The films are also listed at http://2007baffprogram.withoutabox.com/.
Shark Suit also won Best Animated Film at the Bluegrass Indepent Film Festival. Thanks!
Finally, here's some concept art from about a year ago. Time flies.

a design for a paddle boat I've been thinking about for a long time. Sitting on the boat's lips, you propel the large fiberglass thing by pedals in the nasal cavity. I saw a sculpture something like this that gave me the idea. I have a picture of it somewhere. But it was not a paddle boat.
I'm still not sure how you would steer. Maybe by grabbing a mustache. But I would sort of like to have separate his and her models, so a mustache is out. Either way, good for fishing and catching turtles in nets.

At harvard they have this program--you can check out works of art for a semester and hang them in your room. My girlfriend got this josef albers print for her wall:
Needless to say, I'm jealous. But someday I'll make my own series of color theory prints. Maybe by the name of, "homage to the squid."
They've got a similar program at oberlin, where my sister rented a renoir sketch for a few months at a reasonable charge of $5. NYU needs to up its game in the artwork rental department.

My pal David Pagano was on the front page of the wall street journal on saturday. He makes movies with legos. Check it out his website: www.paganomation.com
Here's a Little Guy™ he made based on Ethan, the main character from Shark Suit. I wouldn't dare sculpting with so few pieces, but the likeness is uncanny.
